Mr. John Essel
Mr. John Kwamena Essel is the Pro Chancellor of Knutsford University College and Chairman Knutsford University College’s Council of Governors. He is also a Founding Member of the Wisconsin International University College. Mr. Essel holds a doctorate degree in Strategic Management.
He is a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology School of Business.
Kwaw Eliason is a multi-skilled management professional with over 20 years’ experience spanning a wide range of sectors. His areas of expertise are in Project Management, Business Development and Marketing, with special focus on SMEs and Base-of-Pyramid start-ups. He also has extensive experience managing Social Marketing and M&E operations, as an employee of International Donor Organisations and principally as Consultant to private commercial organisations and major donor agencies.
Kwaw holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology & Political Science from the University of Ghana. He also holds certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University, Washington, USA. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana and a part-time Facilitator in Executive Management Training programmes at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Dr. Mary Opoku Asiamah
Dr. Mary Asiamah is the Director of Women in Agricultural Development Directorate (WIAD) of the Ministry of Agriculture Ghana. She is also the Head of Department of the KNUTSFORD University College Centre for Entrepreneurship.
Victoria Oppong-Asamoah is the Legal Counsel in charge of Transactions at Vodafone Ghana. In this role, she serves as the single point of contact for the HR, Consumer Business Unit and Finance Functions of Vodafone. Prior to her appointment at Vodafone, Victoria served as the Legal Officer for GN Bank up to March 2015. She cut her teeth in the legal profession working at Dowuona & Company and Bentsi-Enchill Letsa & Ankomah Law firms.
Victoria is a product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and St Louis Secondary School, both in Kumasi. She is an expert in Corporate Governance and Arbitration.
Professor Afua Adwo Jectey Hesse
Prof. Hesse is a Paediatric surgeon, medical educator and hospital administrator with over 37 years of experience in her work in both the UK and Ghana. Prof. Hesse obtained her MB ChB in 1976 at the University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS) in Accra, became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1983, was a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons in 1990 and is a foundation fellow of the Ghana College of Surgeons (2005). She has a Certificate in Health Management Administration for Senior Health Practitioners from GIMPA, 2005 and a Certificate in Health Management, Planning and Policy from Leeds as well as the Level 8 diploma of the Chartered Management Institute in London. She has participated in many workshops and conferences in the field of medicine and paediatric surgery.
She is a woman of many firsts. She was the first female paediatric surgeon in Ghana as well as the first woman surgeon from her alma mater and recently served as President of the Medical Women’s International Association, another first for a Ghanaian in the 91 year history of the Association which is the first International Professional women’s Association. She was the first female to act as CEO for the Korle bu Teaching Hospital of the Hospital and Director of Medical Affairs and was the first female Honorary Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association. She was also the first female head of the Department of Surgery of the University of Ghana Medical School.
She is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Ghana Medical School and has served in various capacities at both the Medical School and the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. She has served as Head of Department of Surgery, Director of Medical Affairs, Head of the Paediatric Surgery Unit at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and as Acting CEO of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. She lectures at both undergraduate and post graduate levels at the University of Ghana Medical School, serves as an Examiner for various bodies such as the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and the West African College of Surgeons and is a reviewer for various International peer reviewed medical journal .She has been External examiner for the School of Medical Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi and the University of Development studies in Tamale. She has currently been elected as the Chairperson of the Faculty of Surgeons of the Ghana College of Surgeons for a two year term.
Portia Agyei Yeboah - Director
Portia is a young lady who is determined and focused. She grew up in a family so poor they could not afford to put her in school from an early age. She was later given to an extended family member who promised to educate her.
However, this family member handed her to a petty trader in Northern Ghana as a servant. While her peers were in school, Portia spent her days fetching firewood from forests and hawking foodstuffs in the open markets of Tamale to make ends meets. Read more
Mavis Durowaa Mainu : Deputy Director
Mavis grew up with a single mother after the death of her father at age 6. She spent most part of her growing up period with females, her mom and her two sisters. Though she had a brother he was too young to play any brotherly role in her life.
Her mother who was a teacher struggled to take care of her and her siblings, it was mostly difficult to find three square meals a day to feed her and her three siblings. Read more
Minaaya : Head – Marketing & Communications
Regina Abakah-Woode now Known Minaaya Abakah-Woode is a Fanti young lady who was born and bred from the harbour city of Tema. She went through her primary school there and then moved to Nungua Senior High School to further her studies.
In 2010, she progressed to further study her passion for Journalism at the Ghana Institute of Journalism studying Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and majoring in Journalism. The passion drove her on although things were not easy looking at the area she grew from where education was second to Pregnancy and Fish mongering for the young girls. Read more

Evelyn Naana Essel-Cobbah is a young vibrant lady who grew up and stands tall in all things she does. She is outspoken and loves to affect people with her work.
Right from the primary to the secondary to tertiary, she now holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana and an Advance Diploma in Business information Technology from IPMC. Evelyn is enthusiastic about helping less privileged people in the society and thus volunteers to provide humanitarian services when the need be. Read more

Priscilla Esinu Lartsey
Priscilla Esinu Lartsey was born on 13 January 1992 and hails from Kpando in the Volta region. Her basic school education was at Soul Clinic International School and continued her Junior High School Education at Sap’s School LTD.
She passed her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and gained admission to study science at OLA senior high school in Ho. From the education background of the parents, she wrestled on and gained admission into the University of Ghana to study Bachelor of Science in Earth Science.

Anita Krobea Asante
Anita krobea Asante is the daughter of a sub chief of Sakora Owonoo, Nana krobea Asante.
She began her early education in Rockanje Presbyterian experimental school at new Tafo Mile 3. Continued to Okomfo Anokye Senior High school at Wiamoase. She read BSC management in education at the University of Education –Winneba on Kumasi campus.
As she was in school, she became the ladies wing vice president at the Pentecost church of Ghana and the vice President for the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatics churches. Read more

Barbara Esi Sam comes from a family whose basic principle is to give out or share more with others. She had her Junior and Senior High Education at Happy Kids School and Benkum Senior High respectively. Her love for languages and humanity informed her decision to attain a degree in French and Sociology from the University of Ghana in 2015.
